OREM — Western Wats, an independently owned market research data collection company, said Tuesday it has opened a new 30,000-square-foot facility in Cebu, Philippines.
The company said the opening follows a yearlong, worldwide search to find a suitable location to expand business operations. It said it picked Cebu "for its favorable English-speaking population, sound telecommunications infrastructure and enthusiastic local government support."
The facility has 200 stations and will grow to 300 stations over the next year, the company said.
Western Wats has more than 850 Web-enabled telephone interview stations in nine centers in the Western United States, Canada and the Philippines.
