Brodeur made 21 saves to reach the Milestone after failing in two attempts. The 31-year-old accomplished the feat in fewer games than anybody else. Over all, Brodeur is 400-215-105 in 12 seasons. Patrick Roy is the all-time leader with 551 wins.

He blanked Eastern Conference-leading Tampa Bay 3-0 on Sunday, and then stymied the Capitals to complete a three-game homestand sweep.
The Islanders extended their lead over Buffalo to eight points in the race for eighth place in the East. New York has six games remaining, while Buffalo will play seven.
