Here is my "Gettysburg Address" on the battlefield of tuition tax credits:
Let us bravely carry on with what we've got — public schools that have been built and paid for with a goal in mind. Yes, there are many flaws and failures; there always have been. Things have never been fair. (School is a slice of life. How can it possibly be fair?) Some students are difficult, even criminal, and some grossly incompetent. So are some parents and teachers and administrators. But let us the willing continue to work cooperatively and fairly and focused on our purpose — that education "of the people, by the people, and for the people shall not perish from the Earth."
