FORT MEYER, Fla. — The inaugural NCAA basketball season ends for Utah Valley State College on Thursday and Friday with games in the National Provisional Tournament in Fort Meyer, Fla. The tournament includes the three other provisional NCAA member universities—Florida Gulf Coast, Northern Colorado and Longwood.
UVSC (21-5), the No. 2 seed, faces Northern Colorado (6-20), the No. 3 seed, in the tournament's first game at 4 p.m. MST today. No. 1 seed Florida Gulf Coast (21-4) then plays fourth-seeded Longwood (4-21).
The Wolverines and Bears know each other well, having played each other twice already this year. UVSC defeated Northern Colorado both times. The most recent win was a 78-63 decision last Saturday in Orem.
If UVSC wins, the Wolverines will play Friday at 6 p.m. against the Florida Gulf Coast/Longwood winner. The game can be heard live on KOVO 960 AM.
Should UVSC lose, Friday's game would start at 4 p.m. MST vs. the Florida Gulf Coast/Longwood loser.
Both UVSC games can be heard live on KOVO 960 AM.
