Two Denny's restaurants were robbed along the Wasatch Front within a 12-hour period.

About 9 p.m. Wednesday, a man entered a West Valley Denny's, 2222 W. 3500 South, showed a clerk a knife and demanded money. The robber grabbed an undisclosed amount of money and left, West Valley Police Capt. Craig Black said. The man is described as white, 6 feet 2 inches, with long dark-blond hair and a pock-marked face.

About 6 a.m. Thursday, a man approached the cashier from behind at a Woods Cross Denny's, 2487 S. 800 West. He then lifted his coat and told the woman he had a gun. He reached around the cashier and removed an undisclosed amount of cash from the register.

Police do not know whether the two robberies are connected, Black said. They are investigating whether the West Valley robbery is connected with a man suspected in a number of incidents.
