A 21-year-old man was stabbed numerous times at a party early Sunday.
About 3:35 a.m., a restaurant employee noticed someone in a parking lot near 750 East and 3300 South who looked like he had been stabbed. The man left but a few minutes later appeared at St. Mark's Hospital, Salt Lake County Sheriff's Lt. Mark Wardle said.
Officers believe the man was at a party across the street from the restaurant. The man got into an altercation with other people, who followed him to the street and stabbed him numerous times, Wardle said.
The man was transported to University Hospital from St. Mark's. He was expected to remain in the intensive-care unit through today, Wardle said.
