Together Again

Gladys L. Curtis, age 89, devoted wife and mother, passed away from age-related causes in Bountiful, Utah on March 5, 2004. She joins her husband, Verne, who preceded her in death in July, 1980.

She was born March 21, 1914 in Bisbee, AZ. to Walter L. Moore and Frida Lipp.

She is survived by her two sons, Gerald G. (Carolyn), Salt Lake City and Larry E. (Marilyn) (Mapleton), by five grandchildren, six step-grand children, 19 great-grandchildren, 17 step-great-grandchildren, one great, great-grandson. Preceded in death by a grandchild and a great-grandchild.

She worked many years as a clerk for Montgomery Ward and J.C. Penney. She was a faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter- day Saints, having served in the Primary and Relief Society auxiliaries. She was very sensitive to colors, even admiring the color on the pages of junk mail that arrived. She loved beautiful flowers and confessed that the only thing she ever stole was flowers. She had a great sense of humor and maintained her wittiness until the end.

The family wishes to express their heartfelt thanks to the personnel at Orchard Cove for their kind care and especially to her exceptional Hospice nurse, Carolyn Taylor, "a member of the family," as Carolyn put it.
