Kent Ronald Farnsworth, age 45, passed away at his home on March 5, 2004, in Salt Lake City, Utah, from heart-related problems.
He was born November 30, 1958, in Murray, Utah, to A. LaMar and Hazel A. Davidson Farnsworth. Kent was employed for many years at Utah's Hogle Zoo as an elephant trainer. He later graduated from SLCC with a degree in Computer Science and worked as a Computer Programmer for Questar Infocom. Kent enjoyed reading, computers, and various hobbies.
He is survived by his parents; his wife, Claire Clements Farnsworth; his children, Kent Anthony Farnsworth, Andrea Sunset Farnsworth Sawatzki (Mathew Sawatzki), Brandan Goo, and Darren Goo; and was "Paha" (Grandpa) to Bryan and Vincent Goo; his brothers and sisters, Allan L. (Carol) Farnsworth, Shauna (Tim) Swainston, Lyn S. (Karin) Farnsworth, Terry (Eric) Lyman, and Laura
Akgiray.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, March 11, 2004, at 12:00 noon at Larkin Sunset Gardens, 1950 E. 10600 S., Sandy, Utah. Friends and family may call at Larkin on Wednesday, 6-8 p.m. and Thursday, one hour prior to services. Interment, Sandy City Cemetery.
