SANDY — A Utah County man was killed in a traffic accident Monday on I-15.
Killed was:
Larry Wilkins, 54, Pleasant Grove.
Just before noon, Wilkins was driving a sports-utility vehicle in the left lane of northbound I-15 near 11400 South. Wilkins' vehicle then moved into the center lane and hit another car.
The SUV rolled three times and ended up in the southbound lanes, where it was hit. The other car came to a rest in the median, said Department of Public Safety spokeswoman Tammy Palmer.
Wilkins was pronounced dead at the scene.
Southbound I-15 was closed at 10600 South for about 90 minutes, Palmer said.
