Expect a 30 percent chance of rain showers today, under mostly cloudy skies, with highs in the lower 60s.
According to the National Weather Service, a cool Pacific storm system will cross the area late Saturday and into Sunday. Then, a series of weak storm systems will keep northern Utah unsettled through next week.
The chance for rain tonight increases to 60 percent, with some possible thunderstorms thrown into the mix.
Salt Lake City's high temperature Friday was 61 degrees, right at average for mid-April. Provo was 66, Logan 52 and St. George 79.
Sunday will be even more inclement with highs only in the 50s and a continued 60 percent chance of rain. Snow is also possible on the bench areas of the Wasatch Front Sunday. Lows will be around 40 tonight but dipping to the upper 30s by Sunday morning.
Partly cloudy skies are predicted to dominate Monday through Wednesday of next week. Thursday should be mostly clear, with highs returning to the mid-60s.
