KOOSHAREM, UTAH<! > - William "Bill" Woodward Carlston, of Koosharem, Utah, 76, passed away April 22, 2004 in Richfield.

Bill was born January 3, 1928 in Salt Lake City to William and Iola Carlston. He married Janet Lundgreen on October 15, 1954 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple.

He is survived by his wife, Janet; children, Michelle (Brock) LeBaron, Salt Lake City; Anne (Rich) Linton, Centerville; John (Angi) Carlston, Wichita, KS; Richard (Joyce) Carlston, Salt Lake City; Thane (Jennifer) Carlston, New York City; Kathryn (Joe) Culbertson, Salt Lake City; and Ladd (Sarah) Carlston, Issaquah, WA; sister, Kelli Fleming, San Clemente, CA; 17 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Bill loved technical rock climbing with sons, tennis, travel and was a passionate reader. After visiting all fifty states and five continents, he always said "life is an exciting adventure". Bill was teaching at the Sorenson Ranch School and serving at the Manti Temple until the time of his death.

He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Iola Carlston.

Funeral services will be held Monday, April 26, 2004 at 11 a.m. in the Koosharem LDS Ward Chapel. Friends may call at the Magleby Mortuary, 50 S. 100 W. Richfield, on Sun. from 6-8 p.m. and at the Koosharem ward chapel Monday from 9:30-10:30 a.m. Burial will be in the Monroe City Cemetery at 3 p.m. with Military Rites by the Monroe American Legion Post #37. Funeral Directors: Neal S. Magleby & Sons Mortuary, Richfield, Salina and Gunnison.
