1926 ~ 2004
Delbert Max Juber, husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and friend to many, passed away April 24, 2004 of a sub-dural hematoma.
He was born May 24, 1926 to John Henry and Mabel Grace Weise Juber in Park Rapids, MN. In 1949 after serving in the United States Navy during World War II, Del met his partner for life and eternity while attending a town dance. He married his lovely, devoted wife Maxine (Muff) Houghton on May 28, 1950 in Sioux Falls, SD, and they were later sealed in the Salt Lake LDS Temple in 1959. Before retiring, he worked as a tool liaison engineer for the Boeing Airplane Co, working on many projects including the Minute Man Missile Program and Patrol Hydra Foil.
Together Del and Muff had three children: Kenneth Juber, Teri Juber Boulter and Michelle Juber Leatham. In addition to his three children, his posterity includes a wonderful daughter-in-law Pauline Juber, Rick Boulter and David Leatham, son-in-laws, 14 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
He loved the Lord and served faithfully in many capacities throughout his life for the LDS Church, including service with his wife as temple workers in the Seattle Temple. Del was a hard worker and spent many, many hours in service of others.
He is also survived by six siblings, Clarence Juber, George Juber, Ruth Juber Klein, David Juber, Arlene Juber Harris and Gene Juber.
His family expresses their deep gratitude for all who have provided friendship, service and special tender care for Del in his last years as he suffered from Alzheimer's Disease.
A memorial service will be held in his honor on Tuesday, April 27th, 2004 at 11:00 at the LDS River 5th Ward located at 1575 W. 114 S., South Jordan, UT. Interment will be in Trout Creek, Montana at Serendipity Acres.
