Albert (Bert) J. Hansen, 68, passed away April 2, 2004, in Salt Lake City.
He was born November 2, 1935, in Murray, Utah to Richard C. and Gladys Glazier Hansen. Bert was a high priest and an active member of the LDS church during which time he had many church callings. He served his mission in the North Central States Mission. Bert was a very accomplished organist and played regularly in the large chapel at the Salt Lake Temple. He was also in high demand to play the organ for many of his neighborhood wards and churches.
Bert received his Bachelor's Degree in Accounting from the University of Utah. He was a skilled accountant and was the comptroller for the Valley Music Hall when it opened. Bert worked as an accountant for various companies throughout his life and retired after being employed at Merit Medical.
Bert is survived by his wife, Miriam Hall-Hansen; children, Ben (Kristine) Hansen, Lory Hansen (Jose Cano), Holly (Kevin) Johnson, Rusty (Amy) Hansen, Kristian (Kelli) Hansen, William (Joann) Hall, Kendra Hall, Ronnie (Butch) Eldridge, Doran (Sally) Hall; 15 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren; sisters, Lotte Hansen, Chere Hansen; and brother, Reid Hansen. Preceded in death by brothers, Chad and Ray Hansen.
Bert was very much loved as a husband, father, and friend.
Funeral services will be held Wed-nesday, April 7, at 11 a.m. at the Belvedere Ward Chapel, 607 E. Downington Ave. (1830 S). Family and friends may visit Tuesday April 6, from 6-8 p.m. at Wasatch Lawn Mortuary, 3401 Highland Dr. or one hour prior to services Wednesday. In-terment will be at Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park.
