She was formally educated at Brigham Young University and University of Utah, and taught school for 25 years at Davis High School. She loved and instructed art, literature, and history through the study of Humanities. She was blessed to travel and visit the important places she introduced to her students. She was loved and honored as a teacher by her students and co-educators. Among numerous honors, she received recognition for her dedicated service by Governor Michael Leavitt.
Her children wish to express their appreciation for the kind and compassionate service rendered their mother by the care givers who attended her during her final days, and to the numerous students, friends, and extended family members who offered their love during this sweet but difficult time.
