Uncle "Pep"
Our beloved father, Joseph J. Costanza, was called back to heaven on Mother's Day, May 9, 2004. Because of the love he had for his wife, the Lord picked Mother's Day to reunite them.
Joseph was born to Felice and Rosalia Varsica Costanza on July 31, 1915 in
Segundo, Colorado.
He worked for many years at Kennecott Copper, retired and went to work for Draper City as a crossing guard for Draper Elementary. While employed, he also loved working his farm. He was a man who could build anything that he needed out of the materials at hand. The things that he built will last the test of time, as will his strong character, honesty and work ethics. All his family and friends will lovingly remember him.
Joseph is survived by his children, Chiro (Lanette), Anthony (Devona), Rosemarie (Robert) Terry, Leanard (Linda). He also had 14 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
Preceded in death by his wife, Frieda of 62 years, his parents, three brothers and two sisters.
Our special thanks goes out to his granddaughter, Mary Costanza and Nolan Oliver of Hospice of Utah for their special efforts and the loving care which provided him the comfort that allowed him to live out his final days in his home with dignity. We also have a great admiration for the caregivers of Hospice of Utah, and would like to offer our special thanks to all the Hospice staff as well.
Funeral Mass will be held Fri., May 14th, 10 a.m. at St. John the Baptist Church, 300 E. 11800 S. A viewing will be held Thurs. evening from 6-8 p.m. followed by Rosary from 8-8:30 p.m. at Redwood Memorial Mortuary, 6500 S. Redwood Rd.
