Our beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother and friend died at home on Saturday, May 8, 2004.
Born on August 4, 1930 in Salt Lake City to Leo Reuben and Nina Paulson Davis, Jerry graduated from South High and received a Bachelors degree in Marketing from the University of Utah in 1951. He was a member of Pi Kappa Alpha fraternity and maintained many of those friendships and associations throughout his life. He served in the Utah National Guard from 1949-56.
Jerry married Betty Lynn Jones on February 11, 1957. He worked for Utah Oil until 1961 when he entered the Real Estate industry. He obtained his Broker's license and operated his own brokerage "Jerry Davis and Associates." Jerry served as President of the Salt Lake Board of Realtors and received the "Realtor of the Year Award," and "Presidents Award." He retired in 2002 as manager of Mansell and Assoc. Commercial office. Jerry was known for his integrity, kindness and ability to work well with others. Jerry held many positions in the LDS Church including serving on the High Council of the Holladay South Stake. He enjoyed playing tennis and was a loyal Ute fan.
Jerry is survived by his wife, three children: Richard (Jeanie) Phoenix, AZ; Jaren (Kim); Diane (Hugh) Dearden; 12 grandchildren, one great-grandchild, two brothers Bert and Dean Davis.
Funeral services will be held Friday, May 14th at 12 Noon in the Holladay 25th Ward, 4650 S. Naniloa Dr. (2810 E.). Friends are invited to visit Thursday evening from 6 - 8 p.m. at Larkin Mortuary, 260 East South Temple and Friday from 10:45 - 11:45 a.m. at the church. Interment, Salt Lake City Cemetery.
