Timpanogos High, Mountain View High and their coaches were each fined $250 for playing varsity games they thought were junior varsity games. I am outraged that the UHSAA would allow them to be fined as if they were professional teams. We as a community pay for the activities of high schools. They do not play sports to make money. Therefore if there is a violation in play, they should not be fined money. Probation or game forfeiture are sanctions I could understand.

The Region 7 Board and UHSAA should be ashamed.
