OREM — The Center for Personal and Career Development at Utah Valley State College has been given the Distinguished Non-Credit Program of the Year Award by the Association of Continuing Higher Education (ACHE).

Started in 1976, Turning Point is a community and college resource for individuals wanting to improve on a personal, educational and/or professional level. The department is dedicated to quality support services, which increase the emotional, social and economic well-being of all participants.

Participants can access numerous services to help them complete educational goals, build personal and professional relationships, master communication skills, learn job-seeking strategies and re-enter the work force.

Turning Point was chosen for the ACHE award over 1,944 individual members who represent more than 699 different institutions and organizations from 48 states, the District of Columbia and 10 foreign countries.
