DENVER (AP) — Photographs of naked, bound Iraqi prisoners were staged to intimidate other prisoners, and a female Army reservist shown pointing and smiling was ordered to pose, one of her attorneys said Monday.
Defense lawyers also believe the photos may have been made at the direction of civilians from the CIA, attorney Rose Mary Zapor said Monday.
"The (soldiers) pictured were congratulated. They were told the photographs were successful in gathering information," she said Monday night.
