PROVO — ExxonMobil Corporation recently made the largest corporate-employee donation ever given to Brigham Young University.

ExxonMobil donated $122,379 through the company's 3-to-1 matching program. That money was added to the $65,793 raised by 63 ExxonMobil employees and BYU alumni. The company matched the donations 3-to-1 up to $5,000.

With an additional $29,000 from the BYU President's Leadership Council, the total BYU will receive is more than $217,000.

Contributors designated how the funds should be used. Some chose scholarships or mentored student learning, while others chose a specific college.

Other donors left the designation to the discretion of BYU, taking advantage of additional fund matching provided by the PLC through the University Annual Fund, president's priorities or any of the college annual funds.
