1914 ~ 2004
Leola Oveson, of Lehi, Utah, our loving mother, grandmother, sister and best friend was called home on May 8, 2004. Leola had just celebrated her 90th birthday the week before.
She was born April 29, 1914 in Cleveland, Utah to Clarence Donavon Oveson and Anna Johannah Johnson, the third child of nine children. She married Clell A. Guymon on June 13, 1935 in the Manti Temple, they were later divorced. Leola was a lifelong member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She was loved by all who knew her. She loved her children and grandchildren dearly. She spent countless hours teaching her grandchildren to fish. She enjoyed working in her garden and could make anything grow.
She is survived by her children, Arden (Brenda) Guymon, of Mesquite, Nev. Leora Oman, of Lehi, Utah and Floyd (Faye) Guymon, of West Jordan, Utah, 12 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren, and three sisters. She was preceded in death by her parents, daughter Darlene Wayman, grandson Melvin Dee Wayman, three brothers and two sisters.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, May 15th. at 11:00 a.m. at the Lehi Utah Stake Center, 200 North Center, Lehi. Family and friends may call Friday, May 14 th. from 6-8 p.m. at the Chapel located at 300 W. 1149 N. Lehi. (just off State Street) and from 10-10:45 a.m. at the Stake Center prior. (Note: Funeral and Friday night viewing are at different places.) Interment, Lehi City Cemetery, 1100 N. 400 E.
