Noma Elizabeth Sims Bates, age 86, passed away May 11, 2004 in Grantsville.
Born October 15, 1917 at Smithcreek, UT to George and Estella Snyder Sims. Married Cecil Rhodes Bates, May 13, 1939 in Ely, NV. Solemnized in Salt Lake Temple in 1959.
Member of LDS Church, served various positions. Will be greatly missed.
Survived by Husband: Cecil, Gandy; Sons: Lanny (Peggy), Wells, NV; Jerald (Marlene), Gandy; Ronald (Karen), Idaho Falls, ID; Dale, Columbia City, OR; Darrell (Sunny), Fallon, NV; Daughters: June (Doug) Castagno, Grantsville; Judy (Ed Mounteer) Moore, Fallon, NV; Amy (Brent Sainsbury) Sabey, Callao; Rhonda (Tony) Hannebaum, Gandy; Dixie Brunson, Fallon, NV; Brothers: Tom; Phillip; John; Sister: Mabel Timm; 43 grandchildren; 79 great-grandchildren; and seven great-great-godchildren.
Preceded in death by Brothers: Oscar, George, Bill; Grandson: Travis Castagno; great-grandson: Ryan Hansen; Sons-in-law: Kerry Brunson, Bob Sabey.
Funeral services at Callao-Trout Creek Branch on Friday, May 14, 2004 at 12 PM. Friends call Thursday, May 13, 7-8 PM at Nickle Mortuary, Delta and 11 AM to 12, Friday at the church. Burial Bates Cemetery, Gandy.
