1927 ~ 2004

Lavon Shelton Scott passed peacefully away May 11, 2004 with her children and husband of more than 50 years by her side.

Born on March 4, 1927 at Salt Lake City, Utah. She was a faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She served as a missionary in the Texas Louisiana Mission where she met her future husband. She also served in the church as a Relief Society president, in the Primary, Ward Family History Extraction and as a Ordinance Worker in the Salt Lake Temple. Most importantly, she was a devoted mother to her six children and a loving grandmother to her 23 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Survived by husband Richard Glenn Scott, children Sharon (Randy) Hale, Steven (Peggy) Scott, Micheal (Kerstin) Scott, Alan Scott, Susan (Loren) Hulett, Ann (Bryan) Peterson, sister Ellen Gardner and brother Ken Shelton. Preceded in death by parents Joseph Richard Shelton and Ida Mae Pulley Shelton, sister Dora Williams, brothers William Shelton and Harry Shelton.

Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, May 15, 2004 at 12:00 p.m. at the Canyon Road Ward, "A" Street between 2nd and 3rd Avenues, Salt Lake City, Utah. Friends may call Friday evening, from 6-8 p.m., at Larkin Mortuary, 260 East South Temple Street, and at the church on Saturday morning from 10:45-11:45 a.m.
