Grant Levi Minson, 81, of Pleasant Grove passed away Tuesday, May 11, 2004.
He was born April 13, 1923 in Los Angeles, CA to Moroni and Ann Long Minson. He married Priscella Sheehan on October 2, 1942 in Los Angeles.
Their marriage was later solemnized on Valentines Day in the Mesa LDS Temple. Priscella passed away in 2002.
Grant grew up in Los Angeles and graduated from Lincoln High School in 1941. He served in the Army Air Corps during World War II as a pilot, and flew B-17s in the European Theater. He flew B-29s during the Korean Conflict and later served during Vietnam. He retired in 1969 after 27 years of distinguished military service.
Grant was a medical illustrator at the VA Hospital in Salt Lake and was known as a talented artist. He had a great sense of humor and believed that everyone should have joy. His favorite saying was "behave yourself."
He is survived by his two sons: Robin (Dinel) Minson, Pleasant Grove; and Mark Minson, Pinedale, Wyoming; five grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren; a brother and two sisters: Ruby, Lorraine, and Ralph.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, May 15, 2004 at 11:00 a.m. in the Pleasant Grove Stake Second Ward Chapel, 455 E. 200 S., Pleasant Grove where friends may call from 9:45-10:45 a.m. Interment will be in the Pleasant Grove City Cemetery with military honors conducted by the American Legion.
