1911 ~ 2004
Our sweet, loving mother, Antonia Wilhemina Beyer Van Otten, 93, passed away peacefully, May 12, 2004.
She was born May 6, 1911, to Maria Franken and Jakob Beyer in Haarlem, The Netherlands.
Toni came to America when she was 19 years old. She sang with the Tabernacle Choir for 32 years. She was a temple ordinance worker for 25 years. She loved serving her family and the church. She served in numerous callings, and was chorister for many organizations in the 19th Ward. She shared the gospel with everyone she met.
Mom married Arthur Van Otten, Nov. 4, 1935, in the Salt Lake Temple. They lived in their home on Girard Ave. for 63 years. Mom was an immaculate, gracious homemaker and loved to feed people, whether they were hungry or not.
She is having a joyous reunion with her husband, Arthur; family and friends. She is survived by her three children: Connie (Ernie) Ward, David (Marsha) Van Otten, Gloria (Ted) Barbee: 10 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
Services will be held Saturday, May 15, 2004, at 12 noon, at the LDS 19th Ward Chapel, 225 W. 500 N., Salt Lake City, where family and friends may visit from 10:15 to 11:45 a.m. prior to the service. Interment: Larkin Sunset Gardens, 1950 E. 10600 S., Sandy, Utah.
