1966 ~ 2004
Our beloved son and brother, David Grant Miner, passed away May 10, 2004 in Ogden, Utah.
Born May 19, 1966 to Don and Maxine Miner in Annapolis, Maryland.
Attended schools in Kaysville. Served an LDS mission in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida. Married Polly Talavera, December 3, 1987 in Salt Lake City.
Later divorced. Dave's passion was serving as a law enforcement officer and detective for Harrisville City. He was well respected by his peers for his ability to handle tough situations with poise and dignity. Other professionals involved in Law Enforcement spoke highly of Dave for the thoroughness and accuracy of his work.
Dave also enjoyed teaching at Weber High School where he was admired and well liked by his students. Dave had a quick wit and unique ability to make friends quickly and easily. He enjoyed his work, sports, and any kind of social gathering with family and friends.
Dave was loved by many, and will be sorely missed by his family and friends.
Dave is survived by his parents, his brothers and sisters, Larry (Jennifer), Boise, ID; Steve (Brenda), Woods Cross; Janet Cramer, Kuna, ID; Richard (Lisa), Bountiful; Don (Elbertine), Moab; Robyn (Steven) Anderson, Pleasant Grove, and Mike Miner, Salt Lake City; and by many nieces and nephews who will miss him dearly.
Funeral services will be held Friday, May 14, 2004 at 2 p.m. at Lindquist's Bountiful Mortuary, 727 No. 400 E.
Friends and family may call Thursday from 6-8 p.m. and Friday from 12:30 -1:45 p.m. at the mortuary.
Interment, Bountiful City Cemetery.
