Barry Urry (May 11) wants an apology from those who killed four Americans in Iraq? Possibly he's right, but according to iraqbodycount.net, U.S. forces have killed about 10,000 Iraqi civilians. One can hardly blame Iraqis for being upset with Americans. After all, they never invited us to invade and destroy their country.

Rather than asking for an apology from clerics, Mr. Urry might demand one from our government. They are responsible because they deceived us into supporting a war, alienated our allies and friends, killed thousands of innocent civilians, tortured and murdered prisoners, increased terrorist danger and made America — once a shining beacon for all — the most hated country on Earth.
