His wife Leora Tippets has been by his side since their marriage in the Salt Lake Temple on August 28, 1940. Ted has spent the last 20 years suffering from the tragic effects of Alzheimer's disease. All who knew him before this terrible disease took control, loved him for his warm sense of humor, his patience and sensitivity, and his ability to make friends with everyone with whom he came in contact. He was always the life of the party and had a funny story for every occasion.
