7/27/23 ~ 5/11/04
In the early morning hours of May 11, 2004, God calmed the winds over American Fork, Utah and brought a gentle rain to us - as he took his trusting daughter, Martha, home to be with him and her Lord and Savior - Jesus Christ.
She was also reunited with her sweetheart and devoted husband James Harmon Timmons; her parents, Vernon Pennington Shockley and Margaret Rink Smith Shockley, of whom she was born on July 27, 1923 in Charlotte, North Carolina.
Left to carry on is her son, Terry Timmons and his wife Diane of Lehi, Utah; and daughter Selwyn Timmons of American Fork, Utah; she is also survived by her sisters, Ruth Overcash and Margaret Stewart, both of Charlotte, North Carolina; she also leaves behind two grandsons and six great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the United Cerebral Palsy Foundation or a favorite charity. This would bring a smile to Mom's face.
Her work here was done, she "kept the faith and finished the course," and now heaven is a much brighter place.
"We Love You, Mom."
