1927 ~ 2004

Betty Jean Whetsel, 77, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and sister passed away peacefully May 12, 2004.

She was born February 15, 1927 to Harvey and Berniece Allred in Emery, Utah. She married Kenneth William Whetsel June 27, 1942. They were later sealed in the Manti LDS Temple. They were married 61 years.

She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, where she served in many music callings. She was a talented pianist and loved to tend her rose garden.

Betty will be remembered for being a loving and devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth; parents; and brother, Harvey Bland Allred. She is loved and survived by her daughters, Jill (Robert Larsen) and Kenna Jean (George Bancroft); granddaughters, Tiffany Larsen (Kenneth Hart), Ashley Bancroft; grandson, Brandon Bancroft (Kimberly); one great-granddaughter, Allison Hart; and a sister JoAnn Anderson (Lloyd) and brother, Roger Allred (LaPearl).

Funeral services will be held Saturday, May 15, 2004 at 2:00 p.m. at Wasatch Lawn Mortuary, 3401 South Highland Drive, where friends may call from 12:30-1:30 p.m. prior to the services. Interment will be at Redwood Memorial Estates.
