MONA, Juab County — Officers arrested a Mona resident Tuesday after he held at gunpoint another man who was trying to repossess his truck, a sheriff's statement said.

When the man attempted to repossess the truck at about 5 p.m. at a home in Mona, the resident became upset and went inside. He returned with a shotgun and pointed it at the man, the statement said. The gunman then took off in the vehicle, the statement said.

Officers from the Utah Highway Patrol and the Juab and Utah county sheriffs' offices looked for the man for about 40 minutes. They located the truck, performed a "felony stop" with their weapons drawn and the driver surrendered peacefully, the statement said.
