OREM — A robbery, resulting in a short pursuit and minor injuries to a clerk, occured at a Sinclair gasoline station Wednesday evening.

Around 9:30 p.m., two men entered the station, grabbed four cases of Budweiser beer, and ran out the door. The clerk on duty pursued the thieves and followed them through a hole in a nearby fence, where he was intercepted by a third accomplice who was hiding on the other side. A struggle ensued, but the clerk was able to maintain control of the accomplice until police arrived at the scene.

The clerk then went to the Orem Community Hospital to receive stitches in his ear, from wounds gained during the fight. The accomplice was booked in the Utah County Jail, and police are looking for the two thieves.
