"Together Again"

Norma Leola Goodwin returned to her Heavenly Father Saturday, May 15, 2004 and will be missed here and warmly greeted beyond the veil.

She was born March 19, 1917 to Mary and Archibald Hoopes, Beaver, Utah where she lived until her marriage.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Eldon Goodwin; three children, Pauline, John Lyle, and Jeannine Marie; and two granddaughters. She is survived by her eldest daughter, Norma JoAnn Engle of Mapleton, Utah; 10 grandchildren; and 23 great-grandchildren; and two brothers, Ken Hoopes of Downey, California, and Verdell Hoopes of Bountiful, Utah.

She worked many years for the Los Angeles City Branch Library. As a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, she has served faithfully in many various capacities. Her love was to share her music talent as an accomplished organist. She was an avid genealogist and served in Family History centers in Yuba City, California and Mapleton, Utah. She also served as a literacy tutor at the Mapleton Library.

There will be a viewing only on Tuesday, May 18, 2004 from 6-8 p.m. at Walker Family Mortuary, 187 South Main, Spanish Fork, Utah. Interment will take place next to her deceased husband in the Sutter County Cemetery, Sutter, California.

The family wishes to thank the staff at Hearthstone Manor and Harmony Hospice for their loving care and assistance.
