Should the president of BYU be fired because a few football players violated their ethics code? Should the mayor quit because a city employee is caught in unethical conduct? Who is accountable for the violations of human behavior in Iraq?

Individuals have the right to exercise free agency in this country. To the extent that individuals violate their agency they are accountable. Certainly, parents, organizations and society in general have responsibility if they do not teach correct principles of behavior. In my view, the media are more responsible by their promotion of sex, violence and amoral lifestyles than Donald Rumsfeld, whom they are trying to get kicked out.
