Don't punish hard workers

From each according to his ability, to each according to his needs.

Sounds good. Doesn't work. Never will work.

I know two immigrants from Germany who worked side-by-side — same work, same pay. One worked hard his eight hours. The other goofed off the eighth hour. The government and courts are trying to make this idea work by refunding tax to those who pay no tax and taking from those who produce too much. This way the courts penalize those who work extra hours.
