Salt Lake police officers watch as coroners from the Utah State Medical Examiner's Office remove a body from a field near railroad tracks three blocks west of The Gateway Friday. An anonymous 911 call at 6:35 p.m. alerted police to the body of a dead man, who was found lying face down and partially covered by a blanket at a transient-type campsite, Salt Lake Police Lt. John Cardona said. The camp is behind a business at about 60 South and 670 West. The body appeared to have been there for several days. An autopsy will determine if the man died of a natural causes or was a homicide victim.
