1935 ~ 2004
Levi Lowell Dunn, passed away May 15, 2004 In Salt Lake City.
Born October 3, 1935 in Tremonton, UT to Levi Floyd and Golda Beatrice Bronson Dunn. Married VonaMae John November 9, 1956 in the Logan LDS Temple.
He graduated from Bear River High School in 1954. He was an animal caretaker for the VA Hospital retiring in 1997. Served in the Ma-rine Corps from 1954-57. Moved to Murray in 1958. He held many positions in the church including, athletic director for both the ward and stake, scouting, bishop, high council. He loved to decorate for Christmas and Halloween. He enjoyed traveling and camping with his family and friends and was a member of the Ute Salt Shakers. He loved bird watching and telling his family and friends stories.
Survived by wife; children, Marcie Ann (Darrin) Rolfe, Mindee, James Lowell (Kari), Steven Mirl (Kim); and his loving dog, Brutus; 14 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren; brothers and sister, Vyron, Ronald (Lois), and Irene (Wayne) Felt. Preceded in death by daughter, Wendy Lee; brother, Mirl Ray.
Family wishes to thank the Ute Salt Shakers, VA Hospital, the staff at Care Source, and all his neighbors and friends. In lieu of flowers family suggests donations be made to Residence Care Source.
Funeral services will be held Wed-nesday 11 a.m. at the Murray 21st Ward, 41 West 6280 South (Clay Street). Friends may call Tuesday from 6-8 p.m. at the Jenkins-Soffe Mortuary, 4760 South State St. and Wednesday at the church from 10-10:45 a.m. Interment, Portage City Cemetery.
