If Luke A. Starr of Salt Lake believes Wal-Mart does so much good (Readers' Forum, May 15), why not approach the Salt Lake City Council about tearing up Liberty Park or some other 100-acre open space to erect one. The issue in the Sandy community is about preserving and enhancing open space and leaving a legacy. I'm not so sure that the children of this area will be thrilled to know their ancestors thought a parking lot was better than a park.
