Regence BlueCross BlueShield of Utah has started enrollment for its Medicare-approved drug discount card, called ScriptSave Premier, designed for Medicare Supplement customers.

Regence has co-branded with Medical Security Card Co., popularly known as ScriptSave. ScriptSave will manage program implementation, eligibility determination, customer service, claims processing and adjudication and account maintenance.

Regence members who sign up for the Medicare-approved card will be able to fill prescriptions at nearly all pharmacy chains, supermarkets, retailer and independent pharmacies, the company said, as well as through mail order. Also, through the ScriptSave program, Medicare beneficiaries won't have to switch to a different drug within a therapeutic class to qualify for a discount.
