1923 ~ 2004
Beth Shelton Jorgensen, beloved mother, wife and friend passed away May 17, 2004 in American Fork.
She was the youngest child of William J. and Catherine Sager Shelton, born October 16, 1923.
She is survived by her brother William (Bud) Shelton of American Fork, daughters Linda Brinton of Corona, CA, Lorraine Price of Salt Lake City, Leslie Kitchen of Beaver, and son Steve Jorgensen of Alpine.
Beth grew up in American Fork working with her family on their farm, attending school in American Fork and graduating from American Fork High School in 1941. Beth later went on to receive a nursing degree from Holy Cross Hospital. She married Leo Jorgensen on Dec. 23, 1947 and they were later sealed in the Salt Lake Temple on February 20, 1968. Beth and Leo raised their family in American Fork, Leo working at the Geneva Steel plant and Beth working as a nurse in the American Fork Hospital and with local family doctors for many years. She served as a member of American Fork 4th Ward and spent many hours working on family genealogy. As a mother, friend, and nurse, Beth was always quick to help family and friends and will be missed for her loving care.
Funeral services for Beth will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, May 22, in the American Fork 4th Ward Chapel (455 E 300 N) under the direction of Anderson & Sons Mortuary. Friends may call Sat. morning at the church from 9 to 10:45 prior to the services. Interment will be in the American Fork Cemetery.
