Marilyn Kiyomi Mori Bouyer embarked on her final adventure home to her Lord and Savior on May 15, 2004, after enduring a long battle with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease.
She was born on March 25, 1941 in Seattle, WA to Masumi "Mac" Mori and Michiko "Mitzi" Togasaki Mori. She was one of the youngest children relocated with her parents to Minidoka Interment Camp in Hunt, ID during World War II. Upon their release in 1944 the family moved to Salt Lake City. She graduated from West High in 1959 and moved to Southern California in 1964, where she resided until March 1999. She became ill shortly after returning to Salt Lake, but wanted to stay close to her children and grandchildren.
She is survived by her husband, Lawrence B. Bouyer, III of Lancaster, CA; sons Gregory A. Mori, Salt Lake City; Darren P. Blair and Lawrence B. Bouyer, IV, West Jordan; Anthony J. Bouyer, Granada Hills, CA; daughter, Petite J. Bouyer, Phoenix, AZ; four grandchildren, Chloe Mori, Andrea and Felisha Blair, Jake Bouyer, and non-biological sister, Vikki Prudden (the other half of Thelma and Louise). She passed surrounded with love and will be missed by all.
In lieu of flowers the family is asking donations be made to the American Lung Association.
Memorial services will be held at 6:30pm on Friday, May 21, 2004 at the Adventure Foursquare Church, 352 W. 12300 South in Draper, UT 84020 after which her ashes will be taken on one last road trip to be scattered in the Pacific Ocean.
