WASHINGTON (AP) — A Canadian company is recalling some 36,000 packages of cookies sold in 22 states, including Utah, because they may contain nuts that weren't declared on the label.

Colonial Cookies of Kitchener, Ontario, announced the recall Wednesday amid concern that consumers who are allergic to nuts may have bought the cookies. People who are especially sensitive can suffer severe reactions that require hospitalization.

The company emphasized that it has not received any reports of allergic reactions to the cookies.
