1913 ~ 2004

David Pullman, 90, passed away peacefully on May 28, 2004 in Salt Lake City.

He was born June 21, 1913, the youngest of seven children to Jacob and Pearl Pullman in Salt Lake. The family moved to Los Angeles, CA where Dave attended Poly-Tech High School. As a world-class gymnast, he was offered a scholarship to UCLA and an invitation to tryout for the U.S. Olympic Gymnastic Team.

On January 22, 1940 he married the love of his life, Olga Fadel. They were blessed with two sons, Paul and Jerry.

Dave and his brother, Henry, founded Pullman and English Tailors in 1930 which created many jobs, served much of the community, and operated until his retirement at the age of 83.

Dave was an avid sportsman who enjoyed hunting, fishing, and river trips all across the United States. As a founding member of Willow Creek Country Club, he enjoyed countless hours of golf tournaments, charity functions, and cards.

Dave is survived by his wife, Olga, two sons Paul and Karen of Salt Lake, Jerry and Verlyn of Layton, 10 grandchildren and five great-grand-children.

He was preceded in death by his parents, siblings, and many friends.

He will be missed by all who knew his humor, his laughter, his caring, and his strength.

Graveside services will be held on Wednesday, June 2, 2004 at 1:00 p.m. in the B'Nai Israel area of the Salt Lake City Cemetery, 1021 4th Ave. (on 4th Avenue between Q Street and R Street).
