WOODRIDGE, Ill. — The youth of the Woodridge 2nd Ward, Joliet Illinois Stake, retraced five miles of the historic Zion's Camp march in commemoration of the Aaronic Priesthood Restoration May 15.

The day was the 175th anniversary of the restoration of the Aaronic Priesthood and the 170th anniversary of the week when the Michigan Division of Zion's Camp marched through the area that is now part of the Joliet Illinois Stake.

During the activity, leaders emphasized two lessons from Zion's Camp: No one was to murmur or complain and everyone had to stay together. This was particularly important because the group would try to keep a pace similar to the original group, which had marched 33 miles on May 21, 1834.
