It's unfortunate that all the heat for the "guzzlergate" scandal is coming down on the county auditor. Yes, his actions were wrong. But the problem is obviously bigger. Why does the county need a bunch of high-priced SUVs to do its business?
I know Nancy Workman turned in her county-owned SUV after the scandal broke, but don't we want a mayor who wouldn't drive such an expensive car, on the taxpayers money, in the first place?
