Effective July 1, Davis School District superintendency will see an administrative reorganization following the retirement of assistant superintendent Lynn Trenbeath, who served 11 years in that assignment.

Elementary school director Sandy Peterson and secondary school director Paul Waite will be the new assistant superintendents.

Davis superintendent Bryan Bowles said the change creates a strong team that will focus on helping all 60,000-plus students in the district.

Peterson holds a Ph.D. in educational studies and an administrative supervisory certificate. She is a former elementary school principal, teacher and has been an adjunct instructor at the University of Utah, Weber State University and University of Phoenix.

Waite has an Ed.D in education and is a former secondary principal, assistant principal, teacher, athletic director and coach. He is also a retired colonel with the Utah Army National Guard.
