1954 ~ 2004

Cynthia Carter Green died Saturday, July 17, 2004, after a long struggle with pancreatic cancer.

Cindy was born Nov. 11, 1954 in Brigham City, Utah to Alfa Jean and B. Kent Carter. She attended school in Logan, Utah, graduating in 1973 from Logan High. She attended Weber State University for a year and then married David H. Green in 1975. 14 years and four children later, she returned to Weber State and finished her degree.

A lifelong active member of the LDS Church, she served in many capacities in wards and stakes. In addition to raising her family and serving in the church, she served in the PTA for many years both in Granite and Jordan School Districts. She was also an accomplished violinist, performing as a member of the Murray Symphony and for many years with the Orchestra of Sandy City and with several Sandy City musicals. She also taught Suzuki violin and loved sharing the gift of music with her students. She helped dozens of children gain an early appreciation for music and performing.

Cindy is survived by her husband of 29 years, David, her children: Natalie (Beckett) Carbone and their children Tess and Alex, Geoffrey Green, Alicia Marie (Shane) Westra and their daughter Adria, and Eric Green, currently serving an LDS mission in Peoria, Illinois. She is also survived by her mother, Alfa Jean Carter and her brothers and sisters.

Her funeral will be held at the Sandy Crescent Park Stake Center at 11350 S. 1000 E., Sandy, on Thurs., July 22, 2004 at 1:00 p.m. There will be a viewing from 11:45 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. prior to the funeral. There will also be a viewing the night before from 6-8 p.m. at Larkin Sunset Gardens, 1950 E. 10600 S., Sandy.
