I have a question about an article in your business section on July 15, "New Dawn for Utah Jobs." This report leaves me with the impression that, of the 112,000 new jobs created in the entire United States in June, 20,900 were created in Utah. That is bordering on 20 percent. That is as many new jobs created in Utah as in 10 other states.

As I understand it, the "20,900 new jobs last month" statement, in fact, relates to the total jobs added to Utah between June 2003 and June 2004, a 12-month period. Just how Utah could have a 4.7 unemployment rate in June, higher than the 4.6 rate for May, plus create 20,900 new jobs in 30 days defies all logic.
