The farmers markets dotting the state range from a few bushels of corn sold in a parking lot to full-blown festivals with live music, art and meals.

Besides fresh-grown produce, many boast items like organic honey, fresh flowers, homemade soaps, artisan bread and cheese, and other Utah-made products. With the harvest in full swing, now is the time to take advantage.

Here are some that we were able to track down:

PAYSON: Hot August Nights, Thursdays, 5-9 p.m., Historic Main Street (801-465-9276).

PROVO: Saturdays, 9 a.m.-1 p.m., through October, Provo Old Town Farmer's Market, corner of 500 West and 100 South.

LEHI: Fridays, 2-7 p.m., through Oct. 8, Thanksgiving Point, 2095 W. Frontage Road (www.Thanksgivingpoint.com).

HEBER: Thursdays, 3-8 p.m., through Sept. 30, Heber City Park, 200 S. Main.

PARK CITY: Wednesdays, 2-7 p.m., The Canyons Resort.

TOOELE: Saturdays in September, 9 a.m.-1 p.m., Benson Grist Mill, Stansbury Park (www.bensonmill.org).

SANDY: Fridays and Saturdays until 4 p.m., South Towne Center, 10450 S. State, east side; Saturdays, 9 a.m. to noon, Country Square, 8600 S. 1300 East (233-3010).

MURRAY: Fridays and Saturdays, 9 a.m.-4 p.m.,Murray Park, 5100 S. Murray Park Lane (233-3010).

WEST JORDAN: Tuesdays, 2-7 p.m., through Oct. 26, Briarwood Shopping Center, about 8000 S. Redwood Road (www.wjordan.com).

SALT LAKE CITY: Saturdays, 8 a.m.-1 p.m., Pioneer Park, 300 W. 300 South, (www.downtownslc.org); Wednesdays, 4-8 p.m., through Sept. 1, Olympic Legacy Plaza, the Gateway.

BOUNTIFUL: Thursdays, 4 p.m., at 200 South and 50 East.
