1911 ~ 2004

Pedro Monico Nemesio, age 93, returned to the loving arms of his Heavenly Father July 29, 2004.

He was born in Santa Rosa, LaPampa, Argentina on May 10, 1911, the second boy of 16 children to Camilo and Teresa Suhurt Nemesio.

Married Nelida Esther Elizondo Aliendrez on August 25, 1937; they joined the LDS Church in 1962; their marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake Temple on January 27, 1965. She preceded him in death on March 26, 2003.

Pedro had a Ph.D in music in Argentina and was choir director in schools. He wrote many songs and anthems. In Santa Rosa, LaPampa where he was born, there is one day a year dedicated to the Nemesio family showing all their instruments and the music they wrote. When he moved to the US in 1964 he attended BYU and graduated with a Masters Degree and later a Ph.D in Psychology. His love and yen for learning never stopped. He played eight musical instruments, spoke fluent Spanish, Italian, French and English.

He is survived by his only child, Marta E. Edwards, two brothers: Antonio (Elisa) Nemesio, Jesus (Noni) Nemesio; one sister Maria Elena Nemesio de Multari; four grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews in Argentina.

Funeral services will be held Thursday August 5, 2004 at 11:00 a.m. at the Cherry Hill 3rd Ward, 1650 South 200 East, Orem, Utah. Friends may call at the Church one hour prior to services. Interment in the Orem City Cemetery. SereniCare, funeral directors.
